High-pressure rubber hose material

High-pressure hydraulic hoses are a crucial component of hydraulic systems, responsible for transporting high-pressure liquid media. Since high-pressure hydraulic systems are commonly used in heavy industry and heavy machinery, the quality and safety of high-pressure hydraulic hoses are paramount. This article will introduce the materials, usage precautions, and maintenance of high-pressure hydraulic hoses.

High-Pressure Hydraulic Hose Materials

High-pressure hydraulic hose materials must possess characteristics such as high strength, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance.

Classification of High-Pressure Rubber Hose Materials

Commonly used high-pressure rubber hose materials include styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), neoprene rubber (NBR), and fluororubber.

(I) Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR)

SBR is a highly wear-resistant, oil-resistant, and oxidation-resistant rubber material with excellent strength and heat resistance. SBR is suitable for conveying various high-pressure liquid media such as mineral oil, synthetic oil, and emulsions.

(II) Neoprene Rubber

Neonprene rubber is a highly oil-resistant, wear-resistant, and acid and alkali-resistant rubber material with good airtightness and heat resistance. Neoprene rubber is suitable for conveying high-temperature media such as emulsions and mineral oils, as well as high-pressure gases.

(III) Fluororubber

Fluororubber is a highly corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant, and wear-resistant rubber material with excellent chemical resistance and low-temperature elasticity. It is suitable for conveying highly corrosive media, high-temperature media, and other special applications.

II. Characteristics of High-Pressure Rubber Hose Materials

(I) High Pressure Resistance

High-pressure rubber hoses can withstand the conveying of high-pressure liquid media and require high pressure resistance.

(II) Excellent Wear Resistance and Corrosion Resistance

During the conveying of high-pressure liquid media, high-pressure rubber hoses are subjected to impact and wear from the media, therefore, they need good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Precautions for Using High-Pressure Hydraulic Hose?

(1) Correctly select hose material and size. Appropriate hose material and size should be selected based on factors such as the working pressure of the hydraulic system, the type of media, and the working temperature.

Keep the hose clean. The inner and outer surfaces of the hose should be kept clean during installation and use to prevent contaminants and impurities from entering.

Avoid damaging the hose. Actions that could damage the hydraulic pipes, such as impacts, twisting, cutting, and excessive bending, should be avoided.

(4) Regularly inspect and replace the hydraulic pipes. To ensure the normal operation and safety of the system, the condition of the hydraulic pipes should be checked regularly, and aged or damaged pipes should be replaced promptly.

Maintenance and Repair of High-Pressure Hydraulic Pipes

(1) Regularly clean and inspect the hydraulic pipes. The hydraulic pipes should be cleaned and inspected regularly to remove dirt and impurities, and to prevent blockage and wear.

(2) Store the hydraulic pipes correctly. When storing the hydraulic pipes, they should be stored vertically to avoid bending and deformation under pressure.

Avoid excessive stretching and twisting of the hydraulic pipes. During use, the hydraulic pipes should be protected from excessive stretching and twisting to prevent damage.

(4) Regularly replace seals. Seals in the hydraulic system are prone to aging and damage, and should be replaced regularly to prevent oil leaks and safety accidents caused by poor sealing.
